Who are we at Gaia?

Bryony Duckitt

Co-Owner, Children's Yoga classes and teacher trainings, Men's beginner Yoga classes

Bryony originally trained as a Montessori teacher and became inspired to focus on Children's Yoga after bringing some of her own yoga and mindfulness practice into the classroom. She has trained with some incredible teachers including Thich Nhat Hahn, Rod Stryker, Judith Lasater, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Marsha Wennig, Joe Barnett, Shiva Rae and Yogacharya Vishwas Mandlik. The children themselves have been her greatest teachers.

Bryony runs Children's Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Trainings in UK, Belgium, Finland, Greece and South Africa but loves her small intimate trainings at Gaia best!

Tuesday - 5.15 - 6.15pm - Men's Yoga

This is a beginners class for men only. Started for a some local friends who wanted to give yoga a try but were not sure about entering a class of super flexible, experienced yogis. So they've swapped 2 pints for a weekly yoga session! If you would like to do the same come and move through a combination of flowing poses to warm up the body, energise cardio vascular system, build muscle strength and focus the mind. Sessions wind down with some longer held yin poses to calm the nervous system, gently stretching the muscles and connective tissue creating more flexibility. We close the class with meditative Yoga nidra and relaxation.

Co-Owner and Pilates Teacher

Having enjoyed practising Pilates for many years Wendy was inspired to train as a teacher after noticing the many health benefits and positive body changes the Pilates method can offer.  She qualified initially with the respected Body Contol Pilates school in the UK. Wendy is also qualified in all aspects of pre and postnatal Pilates.


Pilates classes throughout the week

Wendy teaches her mixed ability Pilates classes from both a remedial and fitness perspective - providing a challenging work out, whilst focusing on releasing tension, strenthening and aligning bodies and concentrating minds.

Since Cecilia discovered yoga around 15 years ago she has found her practice to be an incredibly powerful tool for positive change in her life. She has practiced in various styles and traditions including Iyengar, Sivananda and Yin Yoga and she draws on these different traditions in her classes. She has recently completed courses in teaching Yoga for Well Women and Restorative Yoga.


This class is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience of yoga incorporates breath awareness and poses with a focus on safe alignent and practice of mindfullness.

Kamlyn has been practicing yoga for many years and trained through YogaBeez to teach children and teenagers in 2014. She teaches many classes across London in nursery and primary schools. 


Aimed at children 4 - 6 and 7 - 10 years, Kamlyn's classes incorporates breathing exercises, yoga stories and cooperative learning to bring yoga to children in a safe, supportive environment. Children are encourages to be creative, respectful and embodied.

Victoria started her yoga journey when pregnant way back in 1998 and continued with a regular practice over the years.  As life threw its many challenges in her way, she began to see the benefits of yoga for the mind as well as the body.  A trip to India inspired her further to deepen her knowledge, first completing a 100hr Immersion and then a 200hr Teacher Training with Bridget Woods Kramer studying the Anusara Principals of Alignment and later Restorative Teacher Training with Anna Ashby.
Classes are a Gentle Hatha, incorporating a Mindful Flow, and particularly suitable for beginners but equally to regular practitioners who want to work on key alignment details and have the opportunity to focus at a slower pace.  Classes will often start and finish with a longer held restorative pose to release and soften the body and mind

Jane has been practising various styles of yoga for over 15 years and trained in Yin and Yang with the Yoga Academy, run by Simon Low. Having witnessed the positive physical and mental changes yoga can bring to anybody, whatever their age and fitness levels, she’s keen to share her passion. In her classes she aims to create balance and restore a sense of deep wellbeing.


Suitable for all levels this class combines a more dynamic flowing practise (yang) with some restorative, longer held postures (yin) to help open the body, release tension and focus the mind. A great way to start the day!

Hana first came across yoga in 2005 and has practiced in habitually ever since. Over the years she has been influenced by various styles of yoga including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Vinyasa flow and completed her training as a Hatha Yoga Teacher at City Lit in 2010/11.


Pregnancy Yoga

Designed to keep you fit, mobile and energised so that you feel more comfortable in your skin while your body undergoes an amazing transformation. With active exercises we keep the body strong and supple to facilitate labour and aid recovery after birth; we relieve minor ailments common during pregnancy; we work on the breath to connect you with your growing bump and to aid relaxation. We remember to smile, have a bit of fun and express gratitude for our fabulous bodies!


Hatha Yoga

This class can be described as Hatha with flow influences. The class starts with breath synchronised stretching and leads up to slightly more dynamic movement and postures, before finishing with relaxtion. The class is an open level session aimed at students who are looking to alleviate stress, improve their day to day feelings of wellbeing and develop strength and flexibility whlist finding and maintaining an inner sense of union.

Nataliya had her first meeting with yoga in early 2000 as part of a recovery program in her elite orienteering career. Practicing yoga on and off helped her heal her body and she soon realised that she wanted to share this amazing practice with others. Nataliya trained as a Hot Power yoga teacher with Dylan Ayaloo. Her passion is to bring health and well-being through yoga, in  balanced and fun way. Despite a sport background, she loves yoga being a non-competative activity available for everyone - no matter their age, fitness level or shape.



Through a dynamic and well-structured sequence this class will encourage you to breathe, stretch, balance, sweat and work out. Nataliya's aim is that her students leave the class feeling refreshed and ready for new adventures. This class is suitable for all levels. 

Friday 6:45pm - 8pm Blissed out Hatha Yoga

Emma credits yoga with positively changing the relationship she has with her body and enabling her to move through her life with a clearer mind. With a keen interest in Mindfulness, Emma applies mindfulness-based techniques to her teaching to encourage students to practice with self-enquiry, curiosity and compassion for their bodies.  Emma completed her Hatha Yoga 200hr qualification in Mysore, India with Noah McKenna. 


This class suits all levels and will leave you feeling blissed out and unwound from the week. A mindful and flowing Hatha class concluding with a restorative and peaceful relaxtion. Treat your body and mind to this class before leaving refreshed and content to embrace the weekend.

Stevie found yoga 15 years ago, learning Hatha yoga in the world-renowned Sivananda Centre and is now a fully qualified Hot Power yoga teacher. His philosophy is that yoga is for every body and is dedicated to teaching others whatever their body shape, size, fitness or inflexibility! 


The Studio will be heated to 28 degrees, warming muscles, encouraging detoxification and increasing effectiveness. Power yoga is a blend of Vinyasa yoga with contemporary fitness routines, moving from one pose to another in rhythm with the breath, increasing heart rate to burn fat, whilst developing strength and flexibility.

Hannah trained in movement from the age of two, becoming proficient in classical then contemporary ballet, and later Pilates. She has a deep natural love of movement and its power to service the body in maintaining health and energy. She discovered Barre during a trip to Hong Kong and fell in love with its marriage of dance and Pilates in a new method. Hannah is a certified BarreAmped teacher and currently a student teacher in Matwork Pilates at Body Control Pilates. Her classes promote mind-body connection through dynamic flowing movements leaving you feeling energised. 

Barre is an intense full body workout with influences taken from dance and Pilates. The focus is on small, isolated movements designed to sculpt, lengthen, strengthen and tone. This is a mixed levels class, great for those starting Barre for the first time with an emphasis on finding good form, control and connecting mind to body.
